3020a

Your Tenure Hearing is your Last Chance to Protect Your Career and Livelihood.

eachers working for New York State who have achieved tenured status have a right to their job unless "just cause" for termination can be shown at a 3020a tenure hearing following the leveling of 3020a charges against that teacher.

ften, the Union representing teachers in New York State is overburdened by the high volume of tenure hearings that they must defend. Many tenured teachers, especially within the confines of New York City, Nassau County and Suffolk County, where the overburdening appears to be at its worst, feel that this overburdening of the union can, in some cases, lead to inadequate preparation for and representation at their hearing.

This site's goal is to provide information to tenured teachers, the front line in our effort to educate our nation's children, that may assist them in obtaining the best possible representation at their tenure hearings. When your livelihood and life's work is at stake, only zealous and fully prepared representation will do.
